But more likely is that he's trying to show you he likes you.

If he's all ears about whatever you have to say, keeps asking questions and seems totally focused on you, it's a pretty hefty giveaway that it's all systems go.

And then remembering

So you had a great chat with him at that party, told him all about your life and family and now you're meeting up again.

Does he remember what you said? If so, he probably wants to be more than just friends.

This shows he actually was listening to you and he wants to make a good impression.
