How to make your own body scrub and help save a bit of cash (and maybe the planet)

Microbeads are those colourful little dots you see in skincare products and body scrubs.

They're made of minuscule pieces of plastic which are used to help buff any dry skin away when used during washing.

But the problem is that the beads aren't biodegradable, meaning they're damaging the environment.

However with tips from The Sun's Lauren Naylor you won't need to worry about the damage you're causing to the environment as Lauren is here to show us how to make an environment friendly scrub.

USE SUGAR AND OIL

Make sure to use a natural oil like almond oilCredit: THE SUN

Combine a tablespoon of demerera sugar with a natural oil (such as almond oil) and combine until it has an even texture. Then massage the oil over any dry skin and with a luffa it should buff off nicely.
