Brazen builder tries to impress Kate before snapping a selfie… and he pulled the same trick two years ago with Charles
The royal couple were visiting a construction site in Cornwall as part of their tour of the county
THE Duchess of Cambridge proved why she’s one of the world’s most stunning women today as she stepped out in an elegant dress and caught the eye of a group of cheeky builders.
Kate, 34, donned a designer frock by Lela Rose while on a "mini tour" of Cornwall with her husband Prince William, also 34, who didn't look overly impressed with the construction workers' brazen antics.
The royal couple looked relaxed as they beamed at well-wishers who had waited outside ready to greet them.
And one of the builders saw the moment as the perfect opportunity to snap a quick selfie with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
While another eager admirer even asked William if she could give him a kiss and he duly obliged, agreeing to a hug and photograph, too.
Kate, who was given bouquets of flowers and cards, accessorised her summer dress, which featured three-quarter length sleeves and was cut just below the knee, with nude heels from Monsoon.
She added a bit of interest to the otherwise understated outfit with a metallic box clutch bag and a pair of glitzy diamond earrings.
Meanwhile, William looked smart in a grey checked blazer, crisp white shirt and navy trousers.
He appeared to be embracing his growing bald patch by showcasing a trim new hairdo.
The pair, who attended the engagement without children Prince George and Princess Charlotte, have a busy few days ahead.
During the tour, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will visit numerous charities, business and organisations.
Today began with a visit to Truro Cathedral, followed by a 'sign-a-slate' project in support of the place of worship's £3.2million roof appeal.
The original roof, which was completed c1885- 1908, is now in urgent need of repair to preserve the cathedral for future generations.
After a visit to Zebs Youth Centre, where the couple watched musicians perform and chatted to youngster, Kate tried her hand a pouring a pint.
The Duchess stepped behind the bar at Healey's Cornish Cider Farm, a thriving local business that is celebrating its 30th anniversary.
She laughed as she poured the beverage before passing it to William to sample.
Kate and William will also visit Newquay's famous Towan beach where children are taught to surf by the Wave Project, an organisation that uses the activity to help reduce anxiety in young people and improve their mental wellbeing.
