Health coach explains why she’s happier after PUTTING ON weight following years of body struggles

Allison Kimmey has spent years obsessing about her figure

IF you’ve spent ages sticking to a strict diet and are finally at your goal, of course you’re going to want to show off your new body.

But seeing reams of before-and-after shots on social media can get pretty boring, which is why one health coach’s photos are so exciting.

Allison Kimmey, 29, is from Florida and she’s been sharing her body journey on Instagram.

What makes her pictures different is that she’s actually larger in the after shots – and she couldn’t be happier about it. At one point Allison was a tiny size 2/4, but she wasn’t healthy and didn’t feel good about her figure.

“I began my journey with restrictive eating, body dysmorphia, yo-yo dieting, and body image issues when I was 14,” .

“By the time I was ready to graduate college I had shrunk myself to a size 2/4.

“But I never saw that girl in the mirror.”

The mum-of-two got married in 2008 and put weight on afterwards, which made her feel awful.

Her lightbulb moment came after the birth of her second child.

She suddenly realised she was wasting her life by obsessing about her body, and she was inadvertently telling other women the only way to be happy was to be thin.

“What I know to be true is that we'll all feel better if we start to get in tune with our true purpose here on earth and stop giving a f*** about what we are SUPPOSED to look like,” she added.

Although it hasn’t been easy, Allison has managed to accept her body.

She’s now focused on “changing the world” rather than obsessing about every calorie she eats.

Her message has hit a nerve online, with the picture liked over 3,800 times.

People have flocked to comment on it too, calling Allison a “goddess” and “inspirational” because of her positive outlook.

She’s also hit out at how fake online photos can be, sharing images of herself just two minutes apart.

She looks larger in one because of the camera angle, with Allison reminding people this is exactly why comparing yourself to someone else because of a social media shot is pointless.
