Mummy blogger has to tell her son, nine, about the birds and the bees after he hears her having sex
Mel Watts was mortified when she realised her little boy had heard everything
ANYONE with kids will understand the horror of having to sit down for ‘The Talk’.
Sex might be totally natural and a normal part of life, but that doesn’t mean it’s something any mum or dad wants to discuss with their little one.
It’s tough no matter their age, so spare a thought for mummy blogger Mel Watts who had to have the excruciating discussion with her son when he was just nine.
Even worse? It all kicked off after he HEARD her having sex. Awkward.
Mel had been thinking about when to explain the birds and bees to her little one, but decided it could wait.
“In that moment I knew he was pretending to be asleep so he wouldn't get in trouble, when in fact he was wide awake.
“This morning I wish we had that talk long before he heard about.
“Not from other people.
“Worse.
“But through thin walls.”
Hilariously, one of Mel’s main concerns was exactly what her little boy had heard…
“You see he didn't hear amazing passionate sex,” she cringed.
“He heard ‘well that was a waste of a load’ from me and oh my favourite part ‘that was the worst’ curtesy of the husband. Which it was.”
Her son took it all in his stride though, casually asking if she could “keep it down” when having sex in the future.
Mortified, mum Mel replied she would, then promptly texted her husband for advice.
Now they’ve decided to sit down with the boy and his biological dad and all have a chat about where babies come from.
It’s far from the first time the blogger has caused a storm online, she famously posted a pic just after having a quickie and has been brutally honest about the realities of marriage.
