This is why men are more willing to forgive affairs than women
According to a new survey, why people had an affair is what's most important to their other half
FINDING out your other half has been cheating is never going to be easy.
Some people come from the ‘cut up their suits and leave them on the lawn’ school of thought, while others torment themselves with questions about just what went on before divorcing.
Another group learn to forgive the indiscretion – and apparently you’re more likely to be one of those if you’re a man.
IllicitEncounters.com surveyed 1,000 adulterers about their feelings on the matter.
It found 67% of men would give their wife another chance if they found out she’d been cheating.
Women were a bit tougher, with only 53% saying they would stick with the marriage.
The big difference seemed to be in how the guys and girls viewed the affair.
Motive was what mattered, with 32% of the men saying their other half had sought out another guy because he hadn’t been paying her enough attention.

In contrast, 54% of the ladies thought their husband’s indiscretion was deep-rooted and something that would again and again, which is why they couldn’t get over it.
The survey also found women are more likely to be able to keep extra-marital antics secret.
A little over half of the women who were having affairs claimed their husband had no idea – even thought they’d strayed on different occasions.
Men were less able to keep things on the down low, with 42% remaining hush-hush.
How the revelation of an affair is handled is also important.
If women are honest and say they want to make their marriage work, 82% of the time their relationship will stay on track.
That’s compared to 68% for guys.
The stats come after men were dealt a stark warning – apparently women are programmed to cheat in relationships, and it’s all because of their biology.
