This pub just hit back at incensed neighbours who’ve been making noise complaints in the best possible way

MOST people usually want to maintain a good relationship with their neighbours.

But it’s clear that’s not always the case – as one pub proved with an outrageous sign which has since become a viral hit online.

Imgur user Ted Buckley shared a snap of the so-called ‘polite notice’ – which has a very specific instruction for the pub’s customers.

Hilariously, while most establishments would ask patrons to remember to keep it down when heading home, this anonymous pub landlord instead tells its regulars that it’s okay to make a bit of noise – after all, customers have been doing it for years.

The sign reads: “When leaving the premises, please remind our neighbours that drunk people have been loudly leaving this establishment long before they decided to buy houses next door to it.”

And the notice’s cheeky humour has captured the attention of like-minded internet users, who were quick to agree with the pub landlord’s sentiments.

One commented: “If the noise was there before the housing there should be no basis for noise complaints.”

Meanwhile, another said: “I love this and so true. It’s like buying a house next to the airport and complaining about the noise.”

And one user offered some useful advice: “When you look to buy a house go by at all times of day all throughout the week. Also Google Map things nearby – not that hard people.”

The pub’s sign isn’t the first to amuse the internet recently – as one eagle-eyed  web surfer spotted a sign warning locals near Dartford, Kent about a dog walker who is into DOGGING.

This sign describes a 5ft4 “blonde and dumpy” woman who seems friendly but then makes advances which are sexually motivated.

It reads: “I am warning you as I was naive and thought she was just overly friends, she make acquaintances then makes remarks and advances that are sexually motivated, inviting you to midnight walks with the ‘dog’ except there is no dog!!

“She must be avoided – when she tried to touch me in my special place I knew that she was a dirty pervy dogger.”
