A DAY spent trudging around the shops can be a tiring business, but settling down for a nap in Ikea is taking things a bit far.
That’s what Adel Harper, 30, was confronted with when she was taking a wander around the branch in Tottenham Hale, north London, earlier this month.
In fact, according to Adel this was no speedy snooze on one of the Swedish shop’s beds.
She insists the woman was asleep for a decent length of time and it didn’t seem like a quick rest at all.
“I was just walking through the beds department and she was just curled up on the bed, still clutching her handbag and completely fast asleep,” Adel marvelled.
"I could get quite close without waking her up so my first thought was to take a photo because I knew my friends would find it absolutely hilarious and I'm always posting pictures for a laugh.
"The woman was there a long time and she was completely gone - this wasn't just her resting her eyes, she was fast asleep.
"I just left her to it and carried on shopping so I didn't see her wake up but it as an absolutely fantastic advert for IKEA's beds because they are clearly very comfy."

It seems the events manager didn’t take things far enough for her pals though.
They thought she should have settled in some a snooze alongside the mystery sleeper.
"I go to the store quite often but I can say that this is the first time I have ever seen anyone sleeping on the beds,” she laughed.
"Everyone who has seen it has told me it was hilarious.
"There were plenty of people who have suggested that I should have lied down next to her or something like that but I daren't wake her up.
"The woman clearly didn't care what people thought about her at all though."
IKEA hasn’t commented.
