Spots be gone:

How to ditch the pimples with some clever make up tips

Because getting spots doesn't mean you have to panic about getting rid of them

If spots have got you down, these four steps will sort you out.

We've all heard the various ways people say you can get rid of spots - whether it's cucumbers, saunas or even toothpaste.

But with these four ridiculously easy steps from The Sun's Lauren Naylor you'll never have to slather on the toothpaste ever again.

STEP ONE: REDUCE THE REDNESS

Colour correcting is a super easy way of fixing an uneven skin tone, and using a green colour will get rid of any redness and reduce the appearance of spots.

STEP TWO: CONCEALER

Using a light concealer will stop spots being as noticable, but make sure you avoid piling it on as otherwise you'll end up emphasising it.

STEP THREE: FOUNDATION

Then use foundation. Lauren recommends Chanel Perfection Lumiere

Mix in your normal foundation. Making sure to blend in as best as possible. Doing so will make sure the concealer and colour corrector will be mixed in with your skin tone, giving a smooth and well balanced appearance.

STEP FOUR: TRANSLUCENT POWDER

Adding a dab of translucent powder will make sure the make up you've just applied won't come off on first rub.
