Don’t Tell The Bride viewers react in horror as clueless groom-to-be buys his fiancée a GOLD wedding dress
The OTT bloke threw an African royal wedding... despite his bride saying it's the last thing she'd want
WHEN a fashion conscious bride-to-be is planning a traditional wedding, the last thing she wants is a GOLD wedding dress.
But this is exactly what retail worker Adrianna got, when she handed over the reins to fiancé Robert on last night’s episode of Don’t Tell The Bride.
Shy Adrianna was hoping for a low-key, white wedding – but her limelight loving partner had other ideas.
Opting to stick to their Ghanaian roots, he planned an over-the-top African royal wedding - with Robert's best man saying: "I never knew you were this crazy."
And apparently a traditional white dress wouldn’t do for the extravagant affair, as Robert opted to dress his bride in a metallic yellow gown instead.
Viewers were horrified by his decision, taking to social media to express their shock.
But some viewers were less than sympathetic to Adrianna's plight.
Like most of the weddings this series, it was a themed affair - with colourful dancers prancing down the aisle.
The extravagant affair made sure all eyes were on Adrianna, despite her telling her friends: “I don’t want to be the centre of attention, where everybody’s staring at me.”
Anticipating a fashion disaster, Adrianna told the cameras: “Style is very important to me, I love my fashion.
“Robert’s style is a bit different to other people.
“His fashion sense does scare me, you never know what happens on the day.
“It may be something that he likes and I don’t.”
But sports student Robert, who dreams of becoming a professional footballer, said: “I want to try new things. Only I can dress like me.”
Unfortunately for Robert, that may be because no one else wants to.
