As Louise Thompson from Made in Chelsea steps out with her new boyfriend, here are the female celebs who’ve dated their personal trainers
From a princess who married her fitness instructor, to Madonna having a kid with hers... these celeb romances are full of surprises
NOT only do these female celebs have enviably toned bodies, they have another thing in common – their hunky, personal trainer boyfriends.
It’s not particularly rare for a trainer and their client to develop an intimate bond, but these stunning stars have taken it one step further – with some of them even marrying or having kids with their fitness instructors.
Louise Thompson was labelled a ‘black widow spider’ by shocked Made in Chelsea fans on Monday, after introducing personal trainer Ryan William Libbey as her ‘new boyfriend’.
The announcement came despite her long-distance ex-boyfriend Alik Alfus’ plans to fly over to the South of France and visit the petite Londoner on the TV show.
But she’s not the first female celeb to fall for her trainer while working up a sweat in the gym… and she’s unlikely to be the last.
Here are eight other celebs who’ve also fallen for their trainers.
Madonna
The 54-year-old’s first child, Lourdes, was born after her relationship with personal trainer Carlos Leon in the 90s.
Madonna’s daughter was born in October 1996, and the Like A Virgin singer split from Carlos two years later – saying they were ‘better off as friends’.
Vanessa Feltz
The veteran broadcaster was left heartbroken when her husband of 16 years, who was the dad of her two daughters, told her to shape up before leaving her for a younger woman.
Vanessa swiftly fell into the arms of trainer Dennis Duhaney, and profited from the heartbreak by releasing a successful fitness DVD.
She’s now loved up with fiancé Ben Ofoedu – who is 10 years her junior.
Hilary Duff
The Lizzie McGuire star went public with her personal trainer Jason Walsh in June this year, as they grew close after Hilary’s divorce from Mike Comrie.
The pair are said to have bonded over fine dining and work-outs.
Kym Marsh
The Corrie actress and former Hear’Say singer has now moved in with her hunky toyboy boyfriend Matt Baker, 24, after a whirlwind romance.
Kym recently celebrated her 40th birthday, and swanned off on holiday to St Tropez with Matt last month.
Princess Victoria of Sweden
Possibly the first royal ever to MARRY their personal trainer, Princess Victoria wed Prince Daniel in 2010.
At the time, it was described as Europe’s biggest royal wedding since 2010.
The happy couple now have two kids together, proving that you don’t have to be particularly posh to bag a royal.
Michelle Heaton
The Liberty X singer married her personal trainer hubby Hugh Hanley in the Bahamas six years ago, after a two-year romance.
The super-toned pop singer is now a qualified personal trainer herself.
Michelle described Hugh as her ‘rock’ during her hysterectomy and double mastectomy, as they came to terms with not being able to have a third child.
Gemma Atkinson
Not only did this Emmerdale actress date trainer Tom Pitford, but she continued the professional relationship after their personal one ended.
Gemma recently told Sunday People that not only are her and Tom still good friends, but he is also her fitness instructor.
She added: “Now I can’t get away with ditching sessions as he’s more strict with me. I’m happily single. It’s nice to be on my own for a bit.”
Emma Jensen
The identical twin was thought to have been dumped by her ripped trainer and fitness model boyfriend Josh Watson, even though she quit Big Brother to be with him.
The couple had a blazing row over Emma’s nights out with troubled Marco Pierre White Jr, according to reports.
But it seems things are very much back on for the pair, who holidayed in Torquay together earlier this month.
