One-year-old toddler trolled by body-shaming bullies, after unsuspecting mum posts proud snap

Vicious commenters body-shame one-year-old baby and brand her overweight after her mother posted an adorable picture on Imgur.

An unsuspecting Reddit user was shocked by the response she got from online trolls when her partner uploaded a picture of her 14-month-old baby online.

The photo of their cute daughter wearing shorts and a pink flowery top was uploaded to an online forum over the weekend.

Little did they know, they had opened themselves up to a barrage of abuse from online bullied branding their child fat.

“My fiance posted a picture of our daughter on Daddit yesterday and I accidentally published it to Imgur,” the upset mum explained on Reddit’s mum’s forum BeyondTheBump.

“Two people said she was unhealthily overweight and that we should take better care of her. My 14 month old. Who is perfectly healthy and thriving at a normal weight.

“Chunky babies run in both of our families.

“It makes me so sad that at one year old, she is already getting negative comments about her weight.”

BeyondTheBump users were quick to jump to the child’s defence and messages of support began to flood in:

“Dear God…..what is wrong with people?! She is beautiful,” said one outraged commenter.

“She looks like a healthy kid. F*** em’! And take the photo off the internets :) Lota creeps out there [sic]”, said one supporter.

“Ugh that's awful. The Internet can be toxic and also people have no idea about Babies and weight,” one user added.

Some expressed concern for their own children: “I too have a 14 month old girl and I hate that I'm going to have to combat all of the pressure society puts on girls' appearances.”
