He filmed the clip while they were stopped at traffic lights, admitting it was his third attempt as he kept screwing up because he was "adrenalised".

Jesse, a singer songwriter, explained: "My wife just had the baby in the car on the way to the hospital."

He then panned round to Patty, who introduced the newborn, exclaiming: "Here she is!"

Jesse continued: "Parker Pryde, born we think at like 2:50ish?" as Patty replied: "We didn’t look, sorry Parker! You were born on the 405!"

The new dad joked: "We were a little surprised by it all, we waited a little too long to leave I think, but the baby’s healthy and already breastfeeding and we love her!

"Ok, traffic light is changing, awesome!"

The incredible birth took place on the 405 Highway in California.

Jesse posted the video to his account, writing: "We had the baby in the CAR on the 405! No, joke. Easiest birth we've had. #itsagirl #ParkerPryde#BornOnThe405".

Jesse joked he'd tried to film the video three times but kept screwing up as he was so full of adreneline

The musician, also a voice-over actor and comic book writer, is the son of Dee Snider, lead singer of 80s metal band Twisted Sister.

Dee tweeted on Sunday that Patty delivered Parker while Jesse drove, adding: "Way to get attention!"
