Japanese artist wows web with incredibly life-like animal balloon sculptures

He started balloon sculpting seven years ago after being inspired by wildlife

FOR a bunch of balloons and a lot of puff, this polly real-looking parrot is breathtakingly clever.

The amazing rubber creatures take hours to twist into intricate shapes from wasps to hermit crabs.

Impressively the self-taught artist makes them from different coloured balloons without the use of any glue or seals which some balloon artists use to help build their projects.

Masayoshi, a resident of the Chiba prefecture of Japan, said: “I started making these seven years ago, I was really inspired by wildlife pictures and wanted to see if I could create realistic animals of my own.”

The 26-year-old Japanese balloon whiz Masayoshi Matsumoto doesn’t sell his works or offer his services at events, he bursts his creations.

Now that’s pop art.
