After Kanye West revealed he wants to design furniture for IKEA, he’s now being trolled with hilarious fake product designs
THE rapper may wish he'd kept his aspirations to become an interior designer for the Swedish brand to himself after this...
EARLIER this week we reported how rapper Kanye West has aspirations to join the 'flat pack' by designing furniture for IKEA.
The US rapper first tweeted the idea back in March, writing: "Super inspired by my visit to IKEA today, really amazing company... my mind is racing with the possibilities...".
But he recently brought it up again during an interview with BBC Radio 1, suggesting he's deadly serious about knocking up some blueprints for 'yeezy assembly' products.
He stressed: "I have to work with IKEA — make furniture for interior design, for architecture."
Guys, if his bed designs are anything to go by, he could be onto something here.
At first the Swedish firm kept quiet (probably hoping he'd go away) - but now they've responded in the best way.
Writing on its IKEA Australia Facebook page, it posted a picture of a 'Yeezy bed', writing: "Hej Kanye, we’d love to see what you’d create…we could make you Famous!"
One user joked: "Whoever is running IKEA's social media needs a raise for this."
Since the store's post, people have taken to social media in their droves to suggest some other 'designs' the rapper might come up with.
And they're all hilarious.
