HE'S the silver fox of daytime television but Phillip Schofield has divided opinion with his jaw-dropping new look.
The 54-year-old TV presenter – who is currently sunning himself in Portugal while on a break from his This Morning duties – shared a snap of his “holiday stubble” on Instagram.
He captioned the selfie, which sees him posing in a pair of trendy RayBan sunglasses and a blue polo shirt, “That Schofield bloke has let himself go”.
Phil's splattering of facial fuzz received a very mixed response from his 768,000 social media fans, with some saying it made him look like an “upmarket tramp”.
“Phillip no! That just shattered the perfect picture of you I have in my head,” wrote one disgruntled fan.
While another unhappy admirer wrote: “What have you done? Hope you’re enjoying your hols and that sexy clean shaven silver fox is back soon.”
“No likey!” ranted one user, while another told him to “please shave”.
Some fans said he “looks like Grant Bovey” and questioned if he’d “been modelling himself on Keith Lemon”.
But it wasn’t all bad - and the image has currently racked up 11,500 likes.
One female admirer said she “liked the scruffy look” while another commented: "Looking very hot, still very handsome."
“Looking hot to trot,” gushed another social media user, while one fan simply wrote: “Phwoarrrrrrrrrrrrr!”
