How to make the giant Tunnock’s tea cake you’ve always been looking for

Because an oversized tea cake is obviously the best thing you could ever make

Tunnock’s tea cakes are one of the best mini-cakes going, so why not make it as big as possible?

On top of the giant Jaffa Cake and oversized Reese’s Cup, this is one of our greatest inventions yet.

INGREDIENTS:

1 x Pack of marshmallows

1 x Squirt of oil

1 x Pack of digestives

1 x Knob of melted butter

2 x Bars of good quality cooking chocolate

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Melt the marshmallows in a microwave.

  2. In a separate bowl spray some oil, making sure it’s coated nicely before spooning the marshmallow in.

  3. Crush the pack of digestives into fine crumbs before adding the knob of melted butter and mixing well.

  4. In a large baking tin add the biscuit mixture and flatten down to make a base for the cake.

  5. Place the marshmallow bowl on top of the biscuit base, leaving it to rest for 20 minutes before slowly removing. Meaning it should easily lift off.

    Pour the marshmallow over the top and pour over the melted chocolate

  6. Melt the two bars of chocolate in the microwave and pour over the marshmallow and cake, before leaving to set for a few hours in the fridge.
