Got a head for heights? You’ll love this cliff-top walkway made entirely of GLASS
Not for the faint-hearted, the pathway is suspended 984 feet above the ground
TOURISTS with a head for heights can take a walk on the wild side with a new cliffside walkway suspended hundreds of feet from the ground.
But this is a mountain walk with a twist, as the suspended walkway is made of glass, with a clear view of the perilous drop below.
The dizzying path is known as "Coiling Dragon Cliff" because of the way it snakes along the perilous cliff of China's Tianmen Mountain.
At 328 feet long, the considerable journey along the cliffside is not for the faint-hearted.
It spans two sheer cliffs, and is suspended a terrifying 984 feet above the ground - enough to turn the stomachs of even the most seasoned adventurers.
But thrillseekers have flocked to it nonetheless ever since its opening in May, looking for the adrenaline rush of seeing nothing beneath their feet.
The impressive structure previously existed as a wooden bridge, but is now the third structure to be converted to glass on Tianmen Mountain.
Though the use of glass may seem dangerous, the each panel of the walkway is able to support dozens of tourists' weight at once.
The attraction is part of Tianmen Mountain National Park in eastern mainland China.
The surrounding area is so beautiful it is said to have inspired the spectacular hit film Avatar.
