Rich women in China are forking out over £34,000 to hire ‘mistress dispellers’ who will befriend their husband’s lovers and end the extra-marital affair.
The unorthodox service, which is becoming increasingly popular in Shanghai and Guangzhou, then helps women try and save their troubled marriages.
‘Mistress dispellers’ subtly infiltrate the other woman’s life to win her trust and deter her from the adulterous relationship.
They don’t use violence, get intimately involved or hire lawyers.
Weiqing International Marriage Hospital Emotion Clinic Group is a mistress-dispelling service, which was set up in 2001.
It operates in 59 cities, and gets rid of hundreds of mistresses every year.
Shu Xin, Weiging's director, told the that they begin by trying to work out what the mistress wants - be that money, love or sex.
Then, they will “draw up a plan” to get rid of her.
The ‘mistress dispeller’ will start befriending the woman by moving nearby, getting a job with her or joining her gym.
She will then try and remove the mistress using various methods.
She might find her a new lover, a job in a different city or even persuade her into thinking that the married man she is with isn't worth her attentions.
The Reunion Company claims to specialise in “emotional manipulation expert hands to help you quickly recover love”, according to a translation on its website.
