IF you loved Home Alone, you'll recognise Daniel Stern as one of the bad guys who tried to rob Kevin's home.

And you'll probably also remember the iconic scene where his plans are scuppered by an eight legged critter.

In the film, Daniel's character comes undone after Kevin, the home alone child played by Macaulay Culkin, throws tarantula onto his face.

Daniel's character ends up screaming pathetically as the hairy critter crawls over his mouth, in one of the most memorable scenes from the hit film.

And now, 26 years after the original film came out, Daniel has taken to social media to share a brilliant throwback video making reference to the scene.

The clip shows Daniel, now 58 and working as an artist, topless in his study, as he makes a joking reference to one of his finest on-screen moments.

He can be seen pointing at a red tub, as he says: "Hey guys, guess what I just got in the bucket?"

The Home Alone icon jokingly adds: "I hope that I can show you without killing myself" as he wrangles with the bucket, which has a huge spider trapped inside of it.

He shows the hairy critter to the camera, before looking directly at it, and recreating the wide-eyed scream which helped to define the first instalment of Home Alone all those years ago.

And the ear-shattering throwback has gone down extremely well on social media, where nostalgic fans reacted to the clip with delight.

The video, which was shared on YouTube yesterday, has already been viewed by nearly one million people.

One fan commented: "Nobody can let out a scream like you Mr.Stern........you have been sorely missed!"

Someone else added: "You're a legend, big fan!"
