This girl got a ‘professional’ makeover from Urban Decay… but says the ‘awful’ result left her looking ‘like a potato’

Shauna Adamson posted shots of the look online and no one can believe them

THIS was the plan: pay a professional to do your makeup so you look the best ever for your friend's 21st birthday bash.

Unfortunately for Shauna Adamson, things didn't work out that way.

She booked an appointment with an Urban Decay rep at Debenhams in Tallaght, Dublin, requesting a "full coverage, smoky-sparkly eye" look. Oh, and she paid 45 euros for the makeover too.

What she was given didn't bare much resemblance to what she wanted though.

Instead she had stripes of orange bronzer on her cheeks, badly blended eye-shadow and a tonne of silver glitter on her lids.

"I told the girl it was OK and paid 45 euro," she later .

"I didn’t realise how bad the whole thing was until I got home and checked it in natural lighting – that’s when I took the pictures.

"I scrubbed the whole thing off and restarted myself."

That's right, after parting with her cash Shauna ended up having to redo her face herself.

She posted pictures of her before and after looks on Facebook, where her friends flocked to commiserate with what had happened.

"When you pay 50 euro getting your makeup done by a 'professional' in urban decay and you come out looking like a badly deformed potato," she captioned the shot.

"First photo was urban decays 'look' second is when I wiped it all off and done it myself. NEVER AGAIN."

Many of her pals agreed she looked much better in the after photo, with Shauna later posting another shot of her finished face - and joking the stress had left her needing a vodka.

Unfortunately, not everyone believes Shauna's story.

She's been targeted by cruel online trolls who have suggested the makeup was so bad she must have done it herself.

Not one to take that lying down, Shauna later posted more pictures on her Facebook account along with more details about what happened.

"For everyone saying this is 'Fake' and I must have done it myself get a grip," she fumed.

"I'm 100 times better at doing my own make up than that and I'm nowhere near professional.

"I'm not the first person this has happened to in urban decay.

"And yes I did get products worth 40 euro, money isn't the problem here.

"I don't want money back I wanted to show people that urban decays 'Make up artists' aren't professional. K thanks you can stop bullying me now :)."

Shauna complained about her makeover on page.

She got a speedy response, with the company explaining a trainee gave her the look and offering her a full refund.

"Having spoken to the area manager, we understand the beauty adviser that did your makeup was still new to the role," the post read.

"You were offered a complimentary makeup service by one of our makeup artists, but we would like to offer you a full refund for the makeover and a selection of products as an apology."
