‘This is what your face looks like on drugs’: Beauty expert takes on the ‘100 layers’ challenge and is horrified by the results
We’ve all applied a little too much make-up at some stage but this takes the cake literally
THE latest trend to take over the internet is the 100 layers of make-up challenge which is getting millions and millions of views - and it's like a beauty version of pimple popping videos.
This beauty vlogger decided to take things one step further and plaster 100 layers of foundation, eyelashes, nail polish, spray tan, lipstick and hair spray on all at the same time.
YouTube star Jenna Marbles, of Los Angeles, spent seven and a half hours applying six different products on herself.
In the video, she applies layers of foundation using a make-up sponge, covers her arm in fake tan, paints her nails and sprays her hair with hair spray.
She also sticks on 50 eyelashes on each eye - totalling 100 - and describes her heavy-looking eyelids as a "bush".
But she doesn't stop there as she smothers her lips in liquid lipstick so thick, she has to dry each layer with a hair dryer.
Jenna, who later described the challenge as the "worst decision of my life", said: "This is your face on drugs."
The person filming her doing all this compared her to The Muppets character Janice.

Another beauty guru that has been applying layers and layers of make-up is Josefin Lillakas, a Swedish vlogger, spent three hours covering her face with layers and layers of foundation cream using a make-up sponge.
Posting the six-minute clip on her YouTube channel Jeely, she joked: “What am I doing with my life? I have too much free time.
As she kept applying the mask, which made her skin look very pasty, she said: "This kind of looks like a highlighter. It's greasy as f***."
Moments later she is forced to use a hairdryer to dry the layers so she can continue applying more.
Josefin said she got the inspiration from other YouTubers as part of a makeup challenge “tag” which has seen others apply hundreds of other make-up products.
