Kristin Cavallari cruelly trolled after posting holiday snap of her son’s ‘malnourished’ back… but Chrissy Teigen has lept to her defence
The 29-year-old US reality star shared a candid photograph of her family vacation on Instagram
KRISTIN Cavallari has faced intense scrutiny after sharing a candid family photograph which critics claim shows her young son with a “malnourished” back.
The 29-year-old American reality star posted a picture of her sons Camden, three, and Jaxon, two, playing alongside her husband Jay Cutler during the Fourth of July celebrations.
The blonde TV favourite was left shocked when her Instagram followers lashed out at her children’s apparently slender frames.
However, fellow mum Chrissy Teigen, the 30-year-old wife of singer John Legend, has leapt to her defence and called for trolls to stop parent-shaming.
Kirstin uploaded the sweet snap, which shows her two boys dressed in matching striped shorts and paddling in the sea, online.
In the image, the kids’ faces are obscured and they are facing away from the lens.
Kirstin was then inundated with countless comments about how skinny her sons looked.
"Wow. I want to like this picture but for obvious reasons I can't. Please look into feeding your babies,” wrote one.
“Looks like you need to feed your children too skinny,” wrote another.
While a third added: “Do you people honestly believe you should be able to count a child's ribs and vertebrate?..some of you are so eager to brown nose a 'celebrity' that you will say how cute it is...aww..look..his ribs are showing...well..at least he will fit in with the rest of the hollyweirdos [sic].”
Kristin hit back at the haters, writing sarcastically in the comment section: “Yep, I starve my children. Just blocked the most people I’ve ever blocked in my entire life. Happy 4th hahaha.”
Chrissy Teigen, who gave birth to daughter Lula Simone three months ago, defended the former Laguna Beach star.
"I will never know why parents criticize others so harshly, knowing they'd go insane if they were on the receiving end ALLTHETIME," she wrote on Twitter.
"NO parent out there thinks they're perfect. I loathe these s***head commenters. Who would want to make someone feel horrible for fun?" she continued.
"Anyway, love you @KristinCav and screw everyone's bored ass!"
Kirstin appreciated the well wishes and replied: "lol thx girl love u and ur little girl is adorable."
