It looks like a boring three-bed house from the outside… but prepare to put your sunglasses on when you set foot in the door
The ordinary detached home in Bridgend gives potential buyers a lot more than they bargained for
ALTHOUGH this may look like an ordinary house from the outside it definitely packs a visual punch on the inside - so be prepared to whip out your shades.
Saira Hunjan, originally from Streatham in South London, is aware that when it comes to selling your home, most estate agents advise you to keep your home decor as neutral as possible.
But not in this Bridgend home, as Saira says: "My Bohemian style has proved to catch the attention of people and given me the opportunity to share my style.
"It may not be to everyone's taste, but people have been able to appreciate the love and care I've put into it. It's this vision that has attracted people and not the standard white space. "
They say home is where the heart is and Saira has ensured that her three bedroom home reminds her heart of the amazing trips she has had to India and Mexico.
She says: "This interior makes me feel like I've brought back a part of these special places. Colour is therapy and really stimulating."
In the kitchen orange walls bring a zesty flavour to the cooking in conjunction with blue feature lighting.
While in the living room turquoise mixes with a bright pink sofa, gold ceiling and a purple front door.
The stairs have been painted a matching purple and have been decorated with intricate stencilling; while at the top there’s a sunny yellow wall and an eye-catching red wall.

The main bedroom combines a candy pink wall with a bright orange feature wall; in fact, most walls in this colourful house are feature walls.
Saira says: "My bedroom is probably my favourite room. It is super cosy and a mix between Morocco and India.
"I wake up to the colours of Rajasthan with an amazing view of the woodland outside that changes colour throughout the year.”
Saira's occupation as an artist and tattooist has no doubt influenced her visual creativity and this extends to the furniture within her home.
She says: "I love hand crafted and carved furniture so am always on the look-out for them. I've collected a lot of pieces from antique shops, ebay and also shipped items back from India.”
When it came to making a statement in the living room, it's not just the walls and furniture that Saira has turned her creative skills to - the ceiling and stairs have been given the colour treatment as well.
She says: "I've always loved embossed tin art from Mexico. So I found a UK online company that sold these fire retardant ceiling tiles. They were very easy to apply with plaster, which I then painted gold.
"I started by making a really basic chalk outline of the pattern on the staircase and then painted over it with white acrylic paint, adding more details."
Wish you could be as colour brave as Saira? She advises: "Just go for it! You can always paint over it if you don't like it! Don't be scared to express your personality through use of colour."
The colourful and unique Bridgend home is for sale for with Tepilo for offers in the region of £130,000.
