IF you were listening carefully last night you will have heard the sound of millions of teenage hearts breaking.
Why? Because One Direction heartthrob Niall Horan is off the market, after we broke the news he’d attended a London festival with his new girlfriend Belgian student Celine Helene Vandycke.
According to sources Niall seemed “infatuated” with his new squeeze, and he was even seen giving her a kiss on the cheek.
Brunette Celine is far from the only woman to capture a 1D heart though, so here we look at the other ladies who have made the grade.
Niall Horan and Holly Scally
Holly was Niall’s first love and she’s been happy to chat about their young romance.
They were together for about nine months before he found fame with the rest of the lads on The X Factor in 2010, with Holly revealing he used to serenade her with Justin Bieber songs.
In the end it was a classic case of timing which ended the romance.
“We were apart for four weeks, which felt really long because we used to see each other all the time,” she previously .
“One day Niall called and said, ‘I think we should finish because I never see you.’
“I said, ‘Yeah, I know. I understand. So it’s cool.’
“I think he felt bad because he kept saying, ‘I’m so sorry.'”

This pair of singers sparked romance rumours in 2013 and again in 2015.
It took Ellie a while to talk about them though, with the star finally admitting what went on earlier this year”
“We’re still friends,” she told Seventeen. “We went on a few dates, and it was really fun.
“He’s a really, really lovely guy.
“He’s got the biggest sense of humour, he’s very caring, and I see him as a genuine friend in the industry.”
Ellie isn’t the only A-lister Niall’s need linked to either, last year he was said to be spending time with Selena Gomez.
They were spotted leaving an X Factor party together in December, but nothing was substantiated.
Niall Horan and Barbara Palvin
Niall was linked to Victoria’s Secret beauty Barbara for several months during 2013 and 2014 and they were seen together too.
She’s insisted there was nothing romantic between them though, : “Niall’s my friend.
“I’ve always been a girl who hangs out with boys and I’m not going to change that, no matter what people might think.”
Louis Tomlinson and Hannah Walker
Back when One Direction weren’t even a twinkle in Simon Cowell’s eye, Louis, 24, was dating Hannah Walker.
The pair were together when the band started, having starred in school musical Grease together.
Sadly, much like Niall and Holly, it didn’t last.

Louis was introduced to Eleanor by his bandmate Harry Styles, and they got on like a house on fire.
The pair dated for about four years before calling time on their romance last year, rumoured to be because they didn’t see much of each other.

Liam and classically-trained ballerina Danielle met on The X Factor and were together for two years.
She has her on YouTube channel and beauty line these days, with the pair ending their romance because they both had so much on.
Liam Payne and Sophia Smith
Liam and Sophie actually went to school together, but they didn’t start dating until 2013.
Sadly they couldn’t make it work and went their separate ways two years later, with Liam admitting he was crushed by the breakup.
“I’m absolutely devastated to have split with Sophia,” he said.
“Being on the tour all this year and being away from her was so hard.
“We spent so much time apart.
“But in order to do right by somebody sometimes it’s better not to do what your heart wants, but to do what’s better for them.”

Luckily Liam, 22, didn’t have to wait to find love for too long as he’s now happily dating pop star Cheryl, 33.
The pair were first linked earlier this year and have seen been spotted out and about together, and even posted pictures of each other on social media.
It seems it wasn’t just us who were shocked by this coupling – Sophia was too.
“It’s SO weird. I knew about them a little bit ago, but who thought it would actually come out?” she said in March.

Abigail was Harry’s first girlfriend, long before One Direction ever beckoned.
They were just kids (the heady age of 12) when they got together but it seems their breakup was civil, as they’ve seen been spotted catching up at a 1D show in Newcastle last year.

Long before Liam started dating an older woman, Harry was romancing TV presenter Caroline.
They met on The X Factor and set tongues wagging as she was 14 years older than the then 17-year-old Harry.
“I already knew that he had a crush on me, he’d made it pretty obvious,” she later wrote in her autobiography.
“He’d said it in magazines and he’d said it to friends.
“Although it was just a bit of fun we decided it was best to keep it to ourselves.”
