Make sure you keep an eye on expiry dates and don't get carried away - it's only a bargain if you need it.

Cashback sites and apps

The trick with these is to use them on things you really need.

Kayleigh advises using , and Click Snap apps, which all have clear details on the amount of money you can earn back from purchases.

The mum : "All you have to do is scan the item once you have bought it and upload a photo of your receipt – after a few minutes the money is added to your account.

"Once you get a certain total amount of money in your account you can draw it out and it will be paid into your bank."

If you're really lucky you'll be able to combine a deal, voucher AND cashback, which could see you actually make money from buying.

Expand your horizons

Auction sites like eBay are always a safe bet when it comes to bargain hunting, but there are other good ones too.

Kayleigh's picked up good deals on Gumtree too, which sees people posting second-hand items for sale. Don't be scared to haggle either!

Of course charity shops are worth a scout too, and check in with website  which provides lists of things such as shampoo, kids' toys and chocolate you can get for nothing.

If you're lucky you'll be able to team a voucher with an in-store promotion for an even better deal

Kayleigh , as many beauty products will be discounted plus you get codes to use for even more money off.
