According to the average UK life expectancy, 80-years-old, a viewer who has been watching the household drama from the age of 16 has dedicated 345 days of their life to Corrie.

Sickened by the amount of time you’ve spent watching Corrie? It’s going to get even worse from 2017.

Fans are in for a treat after ITV confirmed that the popular ITV soap drama will give its loyal audience an extra episode per week.

ITV’s Director of Television, Kevin Lygo, explained that the decision reflected the broadcaster’s commitment to high quality soap for its hugely loyal audience.

He said: “I am a life-long fan of Coronation Street and one of the first things I wanted to explore when I became Director of Television was taking the production to six episodes a week.”

When these plans are rolled out, those who tune into every episode will be spending 6.5 days of their year watching Corrie.

This amounts to 65 days per year and a staggering 416 days in an average person’s lifetime.
