‘Didn’t expect to have to masturbate still’: People reveal what it’s really like to live with their other half before marriage

Living together before saying "I do" can be a great for your relationship or a disaster waiting to happen...

MOVING in together can be a big decision and an exciting time too - but it can also present some new-found info about your other half.

People have taken to confessions app Whisper to anonymously share all the things they've learnt after sharing a living space with their partner and it's not just about their sleeping habits and family relationships.

Some of the things will make you think and other stuff will make you wish you'd never known.

The most common issue is when you take each other for granted.

Sadly one woman admitted: "I live with my boyfriend and I think it's made him too used to having me around. I could probably fall asleep if he would just hold me every now and then."

Another wrote: "Even though I live with my boyfriend, I feel lonely as hell."

Shockingly one user confessed: "Pretty sad that I live with my boyfriend and I still have to masturbate..."

And if you think moving in together will solve all your relationship problems. Think again.

One found out the hard way: "Didn't expect him to still cheat with me around available all the damn time."

Another added: "I didn't expect to fall out of and far away from love."

But it's not all that bad, take this woman for example who says she and her boyfriend spend the "99 per cent of the time" naked.

Another guy wrote: "I realised that my strengths were her weaknesses and her strengths were my weaknesses so together we ended up becoming stronger.

One user even offered some wise advice: "People expect a fairy tale, then you realise how much s*** each of you do bothers each other.

"You talk and you both try to work on your flaws. Of you refuse to admit you have flaws and it ends."

 And finally some wise words...

After their experiences, you probably have the urge to run for the hills.

But remember to breathe and keep in mind they're also learning a few things about you too.
