The 4,593ft long multi-launch roller coaster was unveiled to the public on June 30 and it consists of four trains, each with four cars.

The white-knuckle ride completes a full loop, then tricks guests into thinking the roller coaster is about to pull to a halt, before accelerating to its top speed and performing a series of curves and helixes.

In a statement a Phantasialand spokesman said: "The prerequisites for a successful project was a combination of experience, know-how, openness and painstaking teamwork.

"All these factors had to be optimally intertwined in the development so that comfort, design, thematic embedding and of course the enormous ride enjoyment could merge into one unit in the train."

The Taron will add to Phantasiland's impressive selection of terrifying roller coasters and is sure to help bring in more visitors to the popular theme park that already brings in around 1.75 people in a year.

Earlier this week, roller coaster passengers were left terrified when their ride got stuck at 100 feet up in the air after it stalled.

The Silver Bullet roller coaster at Western-themed amusement park Frontier City in Oklahoma, US, has since been closed as an investigation gets underway.

A spokesperson for the United States Department of Labor told KOKO.com: “The Oklahoma Department of Labor has temporarily shut down the Silver Bullet ride pending a thorough investigation as to why the train stalled on the track.

“Once the investigation is over, Oklahoma Department of Labor inspectors will complete a comprehensive inspection of the ride and assure all safety standards are being met before the ride is operational again.
