As Rita Ora lands the America’s Next Top Model job, here’s a timeline of her changing styles since bursting onto the scene in 2012

RITA Ora isn't just a pop star - she's an actress, TV judge, model and fashion designer as well.

All of those will come in handy for her new job too, because apparently she's landed the a dream gig on US TV show America's Next Top Model.

Yep, Rita is going to be replacing the one and only Tyra Banks as the host of the series.

"She’ll be mixing her two passions of fashion and music and taking over from a TV institution in Tyra," a source told The Sun.

The 25-year-old singer will be hosting a revamped version of the series on VH1, but does she have the style credentials to make it work?

We look back at her style over the years to find out.

A natural beauty in 2010

Rita didn't hit the big time until she released her tracks Hot Right Now and R.I.P. in 2012, but that wasn't the first the world had seen of her.

She's been working away in the background since signing with Jay Z's Roc Nation, which is where she met the mogul.

As you can see from this one, she was a fresh-faced beauty at the time.

Taking tips from Lily Allen?

We all remember Lil's penchant for ballgowns and trainers... looks like Rita was quite into the look in 2012 too.

This was taken in 2012, so around the time Rita started to get well know.

It's quite a strong look... but then again she was at a Chanel bash so we'll let it go.

This was taken at the Elle Style Awards in 2012, and you can see Rita is finding her style.

Well, you can't mock a girl who looks this good in a skin-tight catsuit with stud detailing and mesh panels. Actually, you probably can but whatever. This is Rita at the MTV VMAs in 2012.

Cinderella moment

To be fair this isn't the only time we'll see Rita in a massive gown.

She was at the MTV EMAs later in the year and went for a bright red dress with lace detailing... excited about being at such a big event, no?

OK, well everyone has their down days.

Sorry Rita but this 2013 ensemble isn't the one for us - too much tartan. And a bow tie. Plus those shoes and earrings!

Platinum princess

OK so Rita might always be blonde, but she experiments with shade. Here she seems to have taken some tips from the dress she wore to the Harper's Bazaar Women of the Year Awards in 2013.

Runway star

Here she is rocking the runway for Moschino at the Autumn/Winter 14 shows, taken in February 2014.

So street

For some reason, Rita decided to rock massive ruffled jeans when she performed in Madrid in July 2014.

Coupled with the crop top and lilac extensions this is one we could do with forgetting.

Sneaker style

Rita created a line of trainers with ADIDAS and here she is launching them in 2014.

Not too sure most of us would go for a spray-on leotard with them but whatever.

As we said above, Rita likes to play with her style.

In August 2014 she rocked a bob with a short fringe when appearing in Los Angeles.

Canary yellow

This is a BOLD colour, that's for sure. She wore it to the 2014 American Music Awards.

Also note Rita's topknot... rocking the look before it was nicked by hipsters the world over.

Shining bright

This was Rita at the 2015 BRITS and it was a bit of a turning point for her.

She started to look a bit more groomed, although it took a while for her to fully feel comfortable with this grown-up style. We're not sure this one quite works.

Cropped perfection

Rita was a surprise attendee at the Oscars in 2015 - maybe because of her role in sexy movie Fifty Shades of Grey.

She grabbed the op with both hands, rocking a slicked back crop and the kind of old-school Hollywood gown which was perfect for the occasion.

Back to her roots

OK so the demure thing didn't last long, this is Rita at the Vanity Fair after-party later that night. Whatever, she still looks good!

This was a couple of months later, at the Billboard Awards.
