She and her husband, who already have a three-year-old daughter, said they were delighted with her little newborns.

But the 37-year-old mum, who had eight doctors and nurses assist with the delivery on June 24, admitted she didn't see it coming.

"I can't even imagine right now how it is going to be, to raise so many children at once," the new mum saidCredit: Reuters

She said: "I'm very shocked because I thought that I was having twins or something like that.

"Nobody in our family has ever had it. There was not a single case of that kind.

In other baby news, a hospital in London believes they’ve found a way to reduce the risk of cot death… and it involves putting babies into cardboard boxes.

Queen Charlotte’s and Chelsea Hospital, in west London, is the first in the country to give the heavy-duty cardboard cribs to parents absolutely free of charge.

The hospital has even filled the box bed up with newborn baby essentials, including nappies, clothing and other necessities.

Since the scheme started, 800 new mums have been provided with a baby box, complete with a firm foam mattress, a waterproof mattress cover and a cotton sheet.

It’s expected that the cribs will be given out on a first come first serve basis until the end of this month.
