Joker thought this T-shirt might be a good idea as his pregnant wife went into labour
Should you ban your hubby from the maternity ward?
A CHEEKY husband has supported his wife through labour in a pretty unconventional way.
Mischievous Reddit user, who posts under username robin60062, decided to get a custom T-shirt made up to mark the occasion.
When his wife was in labour, he decided it was the perfect opportunity to take a quick selfie.
Proudly standing in front of the mum-to-be, the husband posed in a T-shirt that read: “I did this to you.”
Clearly happy with the part he had to play in the pregnancy, he also included a photo of himself pulling an amusing expression.
Since the unusual couple snap was posted to Reddit yesterday, it’s racked up over 5,000 points and dozens of comments.
Men from around the world marked the gag as “genius”, with one even asking: “Dude can I get one?”
One commenter even joked: “She’s going to lose it when she sees the boxers he ordered for his penis, The Baby Maker Fall 2015 Champion of the Womb.”
The prankster can’t wait to continue his mischief now that his son’s born, describing feeling “happy and terrified”.
He added: “I can't wait to embarrass my son in front of his friends when he's in high school...possibly by showing them this picture.”
It’s not the first time that a husband has caused a bit of a stir in the maternity ward.
Last year, an Imgur user divided the internet when he posted a snap of his wife struggling through labour.
After goofily smiling during the gruelling birth, he posted the pic to Imgur.
Reacting to his bold decision, one commenter said: “This is awesome, but you might be dead when she regains full mental capacity and finds this.”
Another Imgur user slammed the new dad, commenting: “I read that the wife in this picture was a good sport about it and thought it was funny. I would probably not feel the same if I were her.”
Maybe these brave blokes took inspiration from cheeky chappy Robbie Williams.
All eyes were on the Let Me Entertain You singer as his wife Ayda Field was giving birth to his baby boy.
Unable to bear the limelight being off him, Robbie serenaded Ayda with his own tunes.
When the footage emerged on YouTube, one commenter said: “I want a man like this pleaseeee.”
Not everyone agreed, as a disgruntled mum said: “Pity a man will never understand the pain of labour, they think it’s a joke… sad.”
