Obese woman who was addicted to Weetabix sheds 12 stone but was left with excess skin that gave her ‘two stomachs’
The former cereal addict looks completely different after her jaw-dropping weight loss achievement
AN OBESE woman who was addicted to Weetabix looks unrecognisable after losing 12 stone - but it left her with excess skin that gave her "two stomachs".
Mum-of-two Sheryl Brown, from Mansfield in Victoria, Australia, weighed a whopping 22st 5lbs after gobbling sugary snacks including Weetabix and Vegemite on toast.
The 44-year-old had to resort to wearing men's 5XL top as she couldn't find any women's clothing that fit her massive figure - not even in plus-sized stores.
Sheryl said: "It was really embarrassing knowing I had to wear men's clothing and it left me feeling completely inferior to everyone else.
"I was really overweight and had all but given up on every diet I found until a friend told me about a diet that targets the toxic fat stored beneath the skin."
Frustrated, she decided to embark on clean eating by living on an "80 per cent healthy, 20 per cent unhealthy" diet plan and hike up to 31 miles a week.
But after reaching her target weight of under ten stone and dropping down to a size 10, her dramatic transformation was tainted with hideous excess skin that she says hung from her "like a bed sheet".
She continued: "I came out of my weight loss battle with all this toxic fat, trapped in fat and when lost all the weight I had saggy skin and despite having surgery it didn't sort out my stomach.
"It was awful, the scales were saying how light I was but whenever I looked at myself in the mirror I was disgusted by my excess flab."
After an initial tummy tuck that went badly wrong, she said she ended up looking like she had "two stomachs".
"I tried doing 400 sit ups a day for two and a half years to tone my tummy, but it still wasn't shifting, it didn't matter how hard I worked it was still there," she said.
"For me, I felt there was no sense of achievement, even though achieving enormous weight loss, while I still had my excess skin because I was still larger than I should have been.
"Internally I felt like I was deformed that I knew that cosmetic surgery was my only way to get closure."
But six months ago, she decided to fork out nearly £8,000 on a second surgery to rid her of the skin shame and now can't wait to show off her surfboard stomach this summer.
She added: "Now I feel like a powerhouse, I have so much energy and am living my life to the fullest, I now feel whole and complete.
"My transformation is like night versus day, the difference between how I looked then and now is so dramatic I feel like I can finally live for me now."
