Jurni is a grown-up version of Trunki
No matter how cool you are, no matter how old, being able to sit and wheel yourself along never loses its appeal
IT seems like only yesterday my son was whizzing through airports on the back of his beloved Trunki.
The cute ridealong suitcases were a lifesaver for stressed parents such as me, as they could help entertain and control a fractious toddler at the same time.
Fast-forward ten years and my little rascal is now nearly 6ft tall and very much your typical teenager.
Image is everything. Every hair is combed exactly into place. Hours are spent selecting just the right plain white T-shirt.
But from the moment I brought home Trunki's new, cool older brother - the Jurni - he was a toddler again.
Because no matter how cool you are, no matter how old, being able to sit and wheel yourself along never loses its appeal.
This grown-up version of a Trunki has got it just right.
It looks just like a very sturdy hand-luggage case but comes with a variety of clever design tricks including that sit-on top and both inline and pull-along wheels for either gliding through the airport or dragging the case when you are forced to be a grown-up.
My son adored the variety of different uses - from the removable pod to the interior shelves - and was planning where to rig up his speakers and phones within seconds.
Trunkis have transformed the airport experience for a generation of parents and children.
The firm could so easily have got the Jurni wrong but I am so pleased it has not.
It looks good, it works and my son is still thrilled to sit down and glide through the airport.
Win-win!
