Mum-of-two who scoffed on an entire loaf of bread a DAY loses the ‘size of her daughter’ in weight
Determined Roxanne dropped from a size 22 to a trim size 14
A WOMAN who used to snaffle an entire loaf of bread a DAY ditched the carby treat - shedding a whopping four stone.
In celebration of her achievement, Mum-of-two Roxanne Bevilacqua proudly posed holding up her daughter Yasmin, who weighs exactly the same amount of weight as she’s lost.
There’s no doubt that carbohydrates were 28-year-old Roxanne’s weakness, as she’d mindlessly munch on slices of bread and takeaways.
Each day, the mum, from Carbrooke, Norfolk, ate six slices of toast for breakfast, easily getting through a loaf of bread in a day.
Roxanne, who works in Subway, admitted: "Before I would literally have bread for every meal, and I loved chocolate and crisps.”
Weighing in at just over 19 stone, Roxanne would also indulge in two takeaways a week, including Chinese, McDonald’s and kebabs.
The former size 20-22 mum believes that she began struggling with her weight after having children.
Five months ago, Roxanne decided she wanted to change her life after seeing a picture of herself that her daughter had taken.
She explained: "I never noticed how big I had got until Yasmin showed me this picture that she'd taken of me and I was just shocked - I thought 'Oh my god - is that me?'”
After joining Slimming World, Roxanne realised that the trick of battling the bulge was bringing out her inner competitive nature.
She explained: "One of the things that really helped me lose the weight is that I was doing it with my mum and we had a bet on with each other.
"Whoever lost the biggest amount of weight each week would get £2 from the other person - I was so competitive that it made me work really hard.
"I've learnt to control what I eat now and since losing the weight I feel absolutely fantastic, I'm so much healthier now."
The change in Roxanne's diet

Now that Roxanne weighs 14st7lbs, and has dropped down to a trim size 14, she’s finally able to experience the joy of clothes shopping.
She revealed: "I got to the point where I was too fat to wear jeans so I just lived in leggings and flat shoes as my legs were too fat for anything else but now I can wear what I want and nearly cried the first time I went shopping for jeans.”
Even though Roxanne aims to shed a further three stone to reach her goal, she’s made a huge difference to her life.
Now, the caring mum has more energy to play with her daughter Yasmin and her four-year-old son Damilola.
She said: "I would make excuses before not to leave the house and if I did it'd have to be for a good reason.
"Now I walk everywhere I can, I used to drag along behind my kids but now I'm the one telling them we should go out or to the park.
"It's great, losing this much weight has changed me so much - I'm so much more energetic and haven't got too long until I reach my target.”
