A walker was astonished after he took a photo on a countryside stroll – and discovered he had caught a family of FAIRIES on camera
The rapper from noughties rap group Goldie Lookin Chain could NOT believe his eyes
A FORMER pop star who took a scenic shot while out on a countryside stroll was shocked to discover he had captured what looked like a family of FAIRIES.
Musician John Rutledge took the summer morning snap as he walked through a field near Newbridge, in Wales.
It was only later, when the 39-year-old looked back at the pictures, that he saw what appeared to be seven tiny winged sprites flying among the flowers and grass.
When John, a rapper from noughties comedy rap group Goldie Lookin Chain, zoomed in for a closer look he saw the group of translucent figures.
Amazingly, the pixie-like creatures even had wings, arms and legs – and were all around 4cm tall.
John, from Newport, South Wales, said: “It’s amazing. When we checked the image we couldn’t believe our eyes.
“Ever since childhood I’ve wanted to witness a paranormal event.
“The last thing I expected was a winged entity in a wood in South Wales but there it is, smack bang in your face – it’s solid evidence.”
Fairy facts:
A fairy is a mythical being or legendary creature from European folklore.
They are considered to be magical spirits, from the supernatural world.
The word derives from the old French word 'fairie', meaning enchantment.
They are normally described as little flying creatures, with human features.
Some believe they are magical creatures, while others believe they are people's spirits from beyond the grave.
Fairies are common in children’s story books, but there has yet to be any solid proof that they do exist.
John added: "There are some things in the universe that may well go without answers, but I think we've just put one of the world's biggest mysteries to bed.
"There are definitely fairies at the bottom of the garden."
John was scouting locations for his new podcast series Unexplainers, in which he investigates common myths and mysteries, when he took the photo last month.
