This ‘headless’ commuter in London has scared the life out of underground passengers
He was spotted at Waterloo station, where people thought they were seeing a GHOST
A London commuter was left gobsmacked when she spotted what appeared to be a HEADLESS man waiting for the Tube.
Benedetta Frizzarin, 27, was waiting at Waterloo station with brother Ireneo, 37, when they saw the 'ghost' in front of them on the platform.
Shocked by the creepy spectre, the siblings took a quick picture as they waiting for their train home from work.
However, when they moved to the side the pair realised it was nothing more than a striking optical illusion.
The 'ghost' was in fact a tall man who was looking down at his phone -his long neck and raised collar contributed to the confusion.
Benedetta, a customer service co-ordinator from Wood Green, North London, said: "We were just waiting for the Tube and I looked to the side and thought, 'Oh my God.'
"It looked like he had no head at all. We realised it was because he was looking down at his phone but from behind you just couldn't see his head at all. It was really weird.
"He was very tall, possibly as tall as 6ft 5in, but he looked reasonably normal once you saw him from the front.
"But we were behind him for a couple of minutes waiting for the train and laughing.
"I took the picture because I thought it was very amusing. It looked like he was headless, like he was some kind of headless ghost or something.
"What was most funny about it was that we didn't even have to try to capture the photo like that – it was like that straight away.
"I showed it to my friends online. I expected many people to think I had faked it because it looks so odd but people just thought it was really funny."
