Woman gets message that someone’s hacking her laptop… and it turns out to be her CAT
When the automatic text came through, the culprit turned out to be a familiar face
HACKERS are constantly finding new ways to corrupt computers, or access people’s private information.
From bank details to social media passwords and even confidential work information, there is an internet gold mine on most people’s laptops – which could be unlocked by a tricky tech thief.
Because of this risk, has her computer set up to automatically take a picture after three incorrect password attempts.
The system, which was set up by the company she works for and operates on a USB, texts the woman a photo if someone is trying to break in.
However, instead of finding a burglar who was looking to log into their stolen loot, or a sneaky family member borrowing her laptop, the camera captured a startled hacker cat.
The hilarious picture shows the cat caught in the headlights, with her eyes wide in shock.
Sharing the picture on Imgur, the woman, who goes by Pigeon Kitty, wrote: “My laptop is set up to take a picture after 3 incorrect password attempts.
“I just got a text alert on my phone with this image attached.”
She went on to explain: “It’s sorta weird, but for my job I sometimes have to work at home and I was issued a USB thing that puts me on the clock and also does that.
“I plugged it into my laptop to clock in and then left for a bit because my boss wanted some journals scanned, so then kitty made her move.”
The picture has been viewed more than 260,000 times – with commenters finding comedy gold in the cheeky cat’s act.
Mystic Dirk wrote: “Hackercat, not know for being good at hacking.”
Rabbi Himself added: “I bet he’s cracked it by now. Better change the password ASAP.”
TrizMaxBlaDe said: “Trying to find some kitty porn.”

Gnarly Gus even joked: “My cat does this with my phone, one time I found him calling my mom at 4am.”
However, some were more impressed with the clever computer system than the cat’s (lack of) hacking skills.
Meanwhile, Missy Oviatt asked: “Anyone else find it funny but slightly terrifying that the cat actually submitted a password 3 times? Lol.”
Nope, not terrifying at all. I’m sure she was just trying to help her stressed owner get through her heavy workload, before slinking over to the coffee machine to make herself a cattucino.
