Amy Childs discusses plastic surgery woes amid torrent of online abuse
The 26-year-old TOWIE star warned young fans about the dangers of going under the knife
AMY CHILDS has revealed her plastic surgery woes following a recent string of online abuse about her “shop-bought” pout.
The 26-year-old TOWIE beauty, who has previously admitted having a boob augmentation and botched lip fillers, insists she’s “learned her lesson” when it comes to going under the knife.
Reality star Amy also warned her young fans about the dangers of cosmetic enhancements.
“I’ve learnt my lesson,” she said. “I think the key is learning to love the body you’re in and knowing that clothes can completely change the way you look.
“I would say to anyone [considering surgery] research and don't do it unless you are a million percent happy.”
Amy was targeted by Internet trolls last week following an appearance on Loose Women.
Viewers took to Twitter to slam her bee-stung pout, saying it was “shop-bought” and she looked like “she’s about to have a stroke”.
Revealing how she deals with cruel taunts about her appearance, Amy said: “It’s something I now expect being in the public eye, but it doesn’t make it any easier.
“Of course it’s not nice to see written or hear being said, bad things about me, but I find comfort in knowing these people don’t know me as a person. “
She believes it would be better for online bullies to channel their energy into “charity work”.
Meanwhile, Amy has been busy working on her spring/summer fashion line.
The glamorous red-head launched her clothing collection five years ago and has seen it grow from strength to strength as fans rush to covert her feminine, curve-enhancing wares.
“From weddings to beach walks and even the races we’ve pretty much got something for everyone,” she said.
“My new Beatrice dress has the most gorgeous floral pattern on and is created in a beautiful silk-effect material, my Katie dress in pale blue is perfect for the races and my Adele and Rose dresses are the perfect statement pieces.”

Amy, who has also modelled the new range, always opts for “a lot of pastels and florals” in the collection as it’s what her customers want.
She says the reaction to her designs has been “overwhelming”, adding: “The collection have a very loyal customer base, we see new customers coming onto the site every day from all over the world.
"We have a range that anyone from 12 years old to 65 can wear. There is something for all ages.”
Amy looks to the catwalk, regular women on the street and fellow designer Victoria Beckham for inspiration.
“What she’s achieved is fantastic not only from the fashion line’s success perspective, but losing her label of pop star and WAG and now being classed as a fully-fledged designer,” she said.
A host of famous faces have already donned her designs but there’s still one woman she’d love to dress.
“Kim Kardashian,” she said. “I think she’d look amazing in one of my pieces. Maybe the new Natalie Dress!”
