These are the 10 biggest lie detector shockers on Jeremy Kyle
Watch the show's most dramatic moments of truth
THERE can’t be much Jeremy Kyle hasn’t seen during his 11 years fronting his infamous show.
From guests with no teeth to women who have slept with their own mum’s partners, the 50-year-old presenter isn’t afraid to help people out – no matter how outrageous their issue may be.
Over the last decade, one of the show’s problem solving techniques has never failed to make jaw drop across the country – the lie detector test.
Here, we round up some of the show’s most shocking lie detector catastrophes.
The money thief
In this episode, a man’s mother was horrified to find out her son was a liar – after the lie detector reveals he stole money saved up by a couple for their baby’s headstone.
After the result was announced, security has to keep the guests from attacking each other – before grieving mum Dawn runs out of the studio sobbing.
But despite the clear result, when asked by Jeremy to explain himself to his ashamed mother, he says: “I didn’t do it.
“I hands down didn’t do it.”
The junkie
Tensions also ran high when the lie detector caught out a man who’d been using HEROIN in a child’s bedroom.
Guest Gemma asked the show to lie detect her whole family after she discovered a used needle in a bedroom in her bedroom – where her 11-month-old baby slept.
Paul – Gemma’s mum’s ex – claimed he hadn’t been on drugs for five years. But he had to be dragged offstage by Jeremy’s security team when it was revealed that he had left the needle in the bedroom – to the fury of Gemma and her family.
The sleazy stepdad
A disgusting stepdad who told his stepdaughter he’d spend the rest of his life with her if things didn’t work out with her mum was caught red handed after being accused of cheating.
Even though Chaz told Jeremy Kyle researchers he “can’t abide people who cheat”, he didn’t seem to apply that rule to himself – after it became clear he’d been messing around with stepdaughter Karen behind wife Pam’s back.
Sassy sister Lisa branded Karen “desperate” – saying she’s “no sister of mine” – before Chaz and Karen both stormed off the stage, leaving devastated Pam behind.
The lesbian nymphomaniac
In this episode, Jeremy was joined by Danny, Rose, John and Charlie – as Charlie, Rose’s cousin’s wife, and Rose were accused of having a threesome with a man called Raymond.
In a dramatic exchange, Jeremy reveals the damning lie detector results – only for Rose to then admit it, storm off stage and have an engagement ring chucked in her face by her scorned partner.
Jeremy’s advice to Danny and John is clear, as he simply says: “Wise up. Lose doormat. Run away.”
The cheating fiance
Cheating is something of a running theme when it comes to the lie detector – and one woman’s family was torn apart as her fiance was proven to be a cheat.
After confirming that Mikey is actually the father of her seven-day-old baby, things seem to be looking up for Callie – especially as their wedding is booked for just six weeks’ time.
But things almost immediately take a turn for the worse – as it’s revealed that Mikey has both passionately kissed and had sexual contact with an unknown person – and Callie rushes off the stage in tears.
The jealous ex
It’s always tough to move on after a bad breakup – but Craig has found himself accused of posting porn on his own Facebook account to torment his ex.
He says he’s over ex Anne-Marie – and has a new girlfriend of five days to prove it.
And it seems that he’s telling the truth – as the lie detector test indicates it is actually Andrew, Anne-Marie’s new man, hacking in Craig’s security posting not-safe-for-work links.
In an expletive-filled screaming match, Andrew and Craig have to be separated by security. Andrew’s mum and sister defend him, saying he failed the lie detector as he had a drink – but Jeremy, unsurprisingly, isn’t convinced.
The wedding day cheater
It’s meant to be the best day of your life – but it was one of the worst for one Jeremy Kyle guest, whose husband cheated on her on the day itself.
The betrayed wife storms onto the stage and calls the mistress a “dirty little tramp” – before begging her husband for a divorce.
But that’s not the worst insult she receives – as Jeremy himself brands her the “worst liar that’s ever been on this stage”… who can’t even spell the word truth.
The betraying brother
Someone stealing money meant for gravestones isn’t the sort of situation you’d expect to see twice – but if Jeremy Kyle’s anything to go by, it’s more common that you might think.
This time, Paul appears on the show with his family, horrified that someone’s nicked his mum’s money from his house, intended for his dead brother’s headstone.
Initially, Jordan, sitting in the audience, is branded the guilty party.
But then, in a shocking twist, it turns out that Paul himself was involved – and he then becomes hysterical, denying he had anything to do with it as his mum sobs backstage.
The unfaithful dad-to-be
Richard has been with his partner for 10 and a half years – with three kids and another on the way.
But his partner says everything changed when they got a computer with WiFi – and she found evidence of his cheating in his search history.
She’s even found a topless picture of him on a dating site profile – which the lie detector proves to be his.
The jilted woman then attempts to launch an attack on Richard before being restrained by security and Jeremy himself.
The cheating OAP
But 71-year-old Ray is in the spotlight after being accused of having sex with strangers behind his faithful wife’s back.
After it’s revealed that he lied on every single question, his devastated wife rushes off stage – and admits she thought her husband would definitely pass the test.
But all Ray can say is: “I’m sorry, that is definitely wrong!”
