Pink roses, 180 macaroons and four outfit changes: Bride-to-be throws the swankiest hen do EVER
Khadijeh 'Kat' Mehajer, a socialite who hails from Sydney, decided to shun the ‘L’ plates, party tunes and comedy paraphernalia
A HEN do usually involves the bride-to-be and her gaggle of devoted pals drunkenly stumbling around Oceana while sipping on sugary cocktails through willy-shaped straws.
But one Australian woman decided to shun the ‘L’ plates, party tunes and comedy paraphernalia to throw a far more lavish bash.
Khadijeh 'Kat' Mehajer, a socialite who hails from Sydney, celebrated her bridal shower on Sunday with towering cakes, bouquets of fresh roses and a four designer outfit changes.
Forget a cheeky kebab on the way home, Kat made sure her guests didn’t go hungry by ordering in two towers of 60 strawberries, two towers of 40 macaroons and two jars of 50 macaroons.
There were also 48 mini desserts, 12 cake pops, a stack of 24 cookies, 36 cupcakes, 24 Turkish delights and chocolate eclairs on offer.
Excited Kat shared images of the pretty puds, which were placed under a floral chandelier, on social media.
The marble-floored party room was decorated with three different shades of pink roses, velvet chairs and balloons.
Stylish Kat flexed her fashion credentials by swapping her outfit a whopping four times.
She donned a custom-made white tutu, a floor-length hot pink strapless gown, an aquamarine frock and an ivory and black sequinned dress.
A DJ, belly dancers and drummers were on hand to provide entertainment.
The stylist behind the extravagant event, Jamila Houchar from party planners Strawberries & Co, had just two weeks to plan the soiree – but no budget.
“Everything was quite detailed, everything was matched,” she told Daily Mail Australia.
“She wanted it to look really luxe and pretty and just out of this world.”
Although a stripper failed to make an appearance, Kat was joined at the opulent do by her fiance, Ibrahim Sakalaki.
