Vicky Pattison reveals Jungle fever helped her lose weight… and you can too
Vicky shares the genius weight loss secrets that got her toned and will have you fighting fit — both mentally and physically
SHE’S the reality TV star who became our favourite Queen of the Jungle when she won 2015’s I’m A Celebrity . . .
This week Sun readers can learn the secrets behind her toned body.
On day three of her ultimate summer body guide, Vicky Pattison tells JENNY FRANCIS how getting in shape can change more than just your body.
Vicky says
“I COULD never do a diet that didn’t allow me a G&T with me mates and a sneaky piece of chocolate when I REALLY want it.
But starting my journey into a healthier lifestyle taught me that balancing diet and fitness with a bit of what you love is the best way to succeed.
Going in to the Celebrity jungle gave me so many opportunities and I loved every minute. But I couldn’t have done it in the shape I was in before I lost weight.
Even everyday tasks like walking 15 minutes to get the water and carrying logs would have been impossible as I was so unfit.
I remember Tony Hadley saying he could carry the logs for me, and it felt so great to be able to say: “Why aye, Tony man, I can do it meself.”
It just felt so good to be able to have the role in camp as a girl power figure.
I know it was my fitness dedication that put me in that position and it’s moments like that when you can feel really proud for changing your lifestyle.
My campmates and I all had an epiphany in there.
We realised how much we over-ate before we went in. You appreciate everything you’ve got in there — if we saw a mango or a banana it was the best thing ever.
Your body craves what it needs. I didn’t crave pizza or doughnuts, I craved omelettes and fruit, and this made me realise how important it is to feed your body the right things. That’s why my plan contains literally everything your body needs.
Yes you can eat carbs, yes you can eat meat, yes you can eat cheese, just eat the right amount and listen to what you’re craving.
If you do this, I honestly think you can’t fail.
The jungle is the show I always wanted to do and the experience was incredible. It felt amazing to know I’m one of very few people who will ever get to do it.
I love meeting new people and really enjoy being part of a team.
That’s why I like working out with friends and encouraging others to get involved in my workouts — it gives good morale and keeps you motivated.
So come on, don’t leave me to do it on me own. Join me and we’ll feel amazing together.”
