Lidl launches fitness range inspired by Miami gym bunnies – with prices starting at just £1.49
The perfect solution for exercise lovers who want to work up their heart rates but not their credit card balance
If you're a fitness fan on a budget, Lidl’s new sportswear range may be the answer to your workout woes.
The price-friendly German supermarket has launched a limited-edition collection of gym gear must-haves inspired by stylish Miami-based exercise lovers.
The perfect solution for those who want to work up their heart rates but not their credit card balance, the colourful line starts at just £1.49 for a pair of performance socks and goes up to £9.99 for a pair of trainers.
The summery apparel range aims to make you “look and feel good” while working up a sweat on the track or in the gym.
Ideal for those who want to stand out from the crowd, the pieces come in fluorescent pink, vibrant blue, zingy green and neon orange.
Palm tree-print sports bras can be paired with matching leggings for a statement look or toned down with grey marl joggers.
Tops feature motivation-boosting slogans such as “work for it” and “don’t stop the game you play”.
The trendy collection, which hits stores on 6 June 2016, features items for both men and women.
“Strong is beautiful and with high performance fitness wear Lidl makes it easier to hit training targets,” a spokesperson for the brand said.
“Get active in the perfectly fitted sports bras, super sleek bottoms and standout vests this summer.”
Earlier this year the retailer launched a capsule line inspired by the effortless look of French women, featuring slogan T-shirts, summer-appropriate miniskirts and block stripe vests.
In January, the chain launched a “maritime chic” collection featuring soft jumpers, shift dresses, chiffon-style blouses and cotton tops.
Last August, the store had to restock a faux leather jacket, priced at £14.99, after it sold out within three days.
The brand said the biker “received rave reviews from experts across the industry last year”.
Lidl has also launched a budget family ski wear and an equestrian line.
