This is the hilarious moment Countdown brainbox Rachel Riley is forced to spell out the word BUMHOLE

SUSIE Dent shocks viewers when she comes up with a rude word from Dictionary Corner

RACHEL Riley was forced to spell out the word BUMHOLE in a hilarious clip from Countdown.

The usually prim and proper Susie Dent plumbed the depths after failing to find a better word to beat the contestants’ five letter offerings of ‘Bulge’ and ‘Bowel’.

Even gobby panellist Janet Street-Porter was too embarrassed to tell host Nick Hewer what Dictionary Corner had come up with.

She told him, “I can’t say it.”

Then the audience was left in fits of giggles as a blushing Susie said: “Ok, let’s get it over quickly. Bumhole is there.”

Nick raises an eyebrow and asked: “Bumhole? It’s going to be one of those days is it?”

Rachel was forced to spell out the rude word, which would have scored seven points, on yesterday’s show.

Viewers took to Twitter to express their shock and, in some cases, amusement.

Callum Chetwynd said: “Why has the word ‘bumhole’ just been used on Countdown. And who knew it was one word!”

Ben Walton wrote: “This actually happened on Countdown today…the real one, not the @jimmycarr one! #bumhole #immature.”

Brett Harris said: “Bumhole just came up on countdown. So did Janet Street-Porter. Today is a good day.”

The funny word was revealed in the second to last letters round on Channel 4 programme.

Susie Dent came up with the naughty word after Janet Street-Porter refused to say it

It’s not the first time presenter Rachel has spelt out something a bit rude on the daytime quiz show.

Last month, she inadvertently spelled ‘CLIT’ as she placed the letter selection onto the board.

Other corkers have included ‘SLUT’, ‘ERECTION’ and ‘ARSE’.

She once had to spell out the word ‘ORGASMED’ which, to be fair, is an impressive eight letter words.

Comedian Alistair McGowan threw that one in the ring with the words: “There’s dampers for seven – and Susie orgasmed, for eight.”

Great climax to that show.
