ONE of the two cheeky siblings in Disney’s Mary Poppins looks completely different now.

A staggering 52 years since the musical was released, Karen Dotrice has now left the showbiz world.

The British child actress got up to endless mischief when playing Jane Banks in the Disney classic.

Karen came from an acting family as she was the daughter of Kay and Roy Dotrice, who both frequently starred in productions of Shakespeare.

She was also sister to Yvette and Michele Dotrice, the latter who was most famous for her role in Some Mothers Do ‘Ave ‘Em.

Although Mary Poppins was the biggest role that she landed, Karen went on to play Lily Hawkins in Upstairs, Downstairs and Maria in Dickens of London.

Despite this, it’s been over a decade since Karen has been in the limelight, as she’s currently focused on family life.

The child actress has been married twice and has three kids.

Although Karen became a rising star after her role in Mary Poppins, she recently admitted that she regrets pursuing her acting career at such a young age.

In an interview with in 2013, she said: “If I'd had my way, I'd still never have done any of those films, because kids should be kids.

"They should be doing their homework, or outside riding horses.

“They should be learning and growing at their own pace - and learning things at the right time, rather than when it's convenient for others."

Tragically, Matthew Garber who played Karen’s brother Michael in Mary Poppins passed away in 1977.

The young actor was just 21 when he lost his battle with hepatitis.
