Newborn Miley was given just two weeks to live after she was diagnosed with acute liver failure.

The tiny tot, who had stopped breathing, then had a nine-hour liver swap op.

As she was so small, doctors could not fully close the wound so knitted it with a suction device.

Miley spent the next six months in hospital, battling infections, a collapsed lung and hypertension, and needed multiple ops.

Now five, she has made a full recovery — to the joy of mum Jemma, 41, and dad Dean, 43.

Jemma, a carer from Kidderminster, West Midlands, said: “It’s been such a tough time for Miley, she’s been through such a lot.

"But she’s finally come through it all — and to look at her now, you wouldn’t know what she’s been through.

“She’s just learned to ride her bike, and we’re going to have such a great Christmas.”

They have written to the family of her donor, a young boy, to thank them.

Jenna, also mum to Noah, seven, said: “Without that wonderful gift, Miley wouldn’t be here.”
