TAKING a 30-second video of your baby could save their life, experts say.
Having the footage to hand as a reference for how youngsters breathe normally may prove vital in a crisis, according to an ex-paramedic.
Nikki Jurcutz, from , said: "I tell every parent to take a 30-second video of their child's exposed chest, breathing normally.
"You can use this video to compare to your child’s breathing when they are sick.
"It will give you the confidence to tell if your baby is breathing normally or not.
"So if you haven’t done so already, (or if it’s been a while since you’ve last done it), open up your phone’s camera."

Not only will the clips be helpful to parents, mums and dads can also share them with babysitters, nurseries and doctors.
It could mean the difference between life and death if they are suffering from a condition like bronchiolitis, croup, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) or pneumonia.
If left untreated, these can be fatal.
Nikki, a former emergency worker from Australia who specialises in baby and child first aid, shared the potentially life-saving advice on Instagram.

Her followers rushed to thank her, saying this technique had helped them in the past.
Blair Russell said: "This little tip helped us so many times last year with reoccurring croup.
"Whenever [my daughter] had it, I would also video to see if her breathing had gotten worse.
"I will continue to use this when our second comes soon."
Chloe Ridgwell added: "This is such a good idea.
"When the twins had the flu and I was crying on the phone to the doctor, I was like, 'I don’t know what’s normal'.
"You’re in such a state of stress and full of anxiety when they are unwell and can’t think straight, so I'm definitely going to do this."
