Apply a small amount to the chest to break up congestion, or add it to hot water and breathe in the steam.

Pop one of these throat sweets to beat soreness.
Suitable for anyone over the age of four, these fruit pastilles contain proper blackcurrant juice and glycerin to help soothe scratchy throats.

Don’t exceed the dose, and make sure you aren’t doubling up if you are drinking cold and flu sachets as well.

A tickly cough can be incredibly annoying and painful.
However, this soothing cough mixture, flavoured with lemon and lime and containing honey, should put a stop to it.

For a triple whammy, these drugs contain aspirin, caffeine and paracetamol, giving you a supercharged way to combat sore throats, muscle aches and cold and flu symptoms.
