SIP TEA

IS there anything a cuppa can’t do? Chamomile tea in particular has relaxing, sleep-inducing properties and can ease flight anxiety.

It is also drunk to boost immunity, calm an upset stomach and can help with other digestive issues to boot. It tastes nice, too.

TAKE ARNICA

DO YOGA

THE pose “legs up the wall” aids circulation, helping with puffy, tired legs post-flight.

Place a cushion close to a wall, lie back on it, getting as close to the wall as possible, before swinging your legs up the wall. Hold the position for at least five minutes.

WATER NOT WINE

DON’T give in to temptation. Leave the mini bottles of wine alone, even if you’re off on holiday.

“Flying is dehydrating, the air can also make your throat, nose and skin feel dry, so be sure to drink plenty of water – and avoid alcohol,” says Dr Philippa Kaye.
