BRITAIN has one of the best booster rollouts in the world, figures reveal.

Only Gibraltar, Iceland and Chile have dished out more top-ups per head than us.

By Tuesday, the UK had given out 45.2 boosters for every 100 people.

Denmark had managed 39.2 per 100, Austria 38.1, Ireland 35.1, Germany 33.5, France 28.2, Italy 26.3 and Spain 25.2, according to figures from Our World in Data.

With the help of our Jabs Army and Give Britain a Booster campaign, the UK has now boosted 31,684,926 people — 55 per cent of adults.

NHS chief executive Amanda Pritchard said last night: “We won’t rest until everyone who needs us is protected.”

Vaccination sites across the country will remain open tomorrow and Boxing Day.

A jingle jabs drive will open 200,000 slots for jabs over the weekend in clinics across the country including in London, Eastbourne, Hartlepool and Dewsbury.

Dr Emily Lawson, head of the jabs programme, said: “We’ve seen record after record broken in the run up to the festive season.

“I want to thank every NHS staff member and volunteer whose determination will keep the booster rollout going this Christmas weekend.”
